The focus is on individual instruction within a group setting. The practitioner is given their practice according to their ability. Since each posture is designed as a preparation for the next, beginners tend to have a much shorter practice than more experienced students. As strength, stamina, flexibility and concentration are gained, additional postures are added on to the series. The advantage of the Mysore-style format is that it is for everyone because it teaches yoga according to one's individual capacity.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;New to Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga: If you are new to yoga or do not already practice Ashtanga Yoga, then you may want to attend a guided class first. If you already have an established Ashtanga Yoga practice, then you may come anytime.&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Curious about Mysore Ashtanga Yoga: Please feel free to come by our studio and observe the Mysore classes anytime.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Guided Classes will introduce the core techniques of Ashtanga including breath, bandha, and concentration.
